Instead of strong primary colors, choose soothing hues and a restful palate of monochromatic tones. Remember the color theory: gentle blues, lavender or green are considered calm and serene. Rich jewel shades provide coziness and comfort. These include fragrant shades of brown, deep pomegranate or topaz. Use attenuated versions of your favorite colors in the bedroom. "That could mean you choose mauve or mandarin pumpkin instead of eggplant.
Do not overlook the ceiling
The ceiling is the fifth wall in a room. When you lie in bed, do you see a mild, empty surface? Add a subtle pattern or a soft color. Paint the ceiling slightly lighter than the wall paint. This helps to visually lower the ceiling and give the room a sense of comfort and intimacy.
Another solution would be to stencil or paper the ceiling, to add architectural elements in the form of beams or moldings, or to use a decorative color treatment. A four-poster bed or a tent bed with a ceiling hanging garment can envelop you with sensuality and warmth, adding texture, design and color to the ceiling. Add a molded medallion and crystal chandelier or delicate shades to bring color, pattern and texture to the "fifth wall" above you.
Keep the bedroom simple
A bedroom should be cozy and simple, refined and elegant, no matter what style of decoration you choose. Leave at least three feet between bed and side walls or large pieces of furniture and at least two feet between bed and low furniture such as tables and dressers. If you need to walk around the bed to get from the closet to the bathroom, remember how to move the bed.
Provide your bedroom with what you need. A bed, one or two bedside tables, a dresser and a chair are necessary. Everything else is disorder. If you have room, put a dresser in the closet.
Accessories should be kept to a minimum. Pick a beautiful piece of art, arrange some family photos, add flowers and candles and leave it alone
